The Kardashian/Jenner clan is stronger than ever!
Khloe Kardashian stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for an interview airing today, where she got candid on coming to terms with Caitlyn Jenner's transition.
Fans watched as the 31-year-old struggled with Caitlyn's transformation on both "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and "I Am Cait". While the star has learned to adjust, she revealed she had a hard time initially because of how she found out.
"I found out on camera, like while we were filming, and I felt like we kept asking him, Bruce, like 'What's going on we're hearing all these rumors.' And he kept telling us one thing, but really he knew he was transitioning and wouldn't be honest with us. So we felt like we were kind of the last to know, so that was hard for us. Especially me," she told Ellen.
And while the "Strong Looks Better Naked" author says she's "fully O.K." with everything now, she admits that the biggest adjustment was learning that Caitlyn and Bruce are two separate people.
"I think the biggest part for me was understanding that Bruce is totally separate than Caitlyn," she revealed. "And he liked to tell us that “I'm always going to be Bruce. I'll always be your Dad' … and I think he meant that. I don't think Bruce knew fully that when he would be Caitlyn, I'm sure no one knows what's going to happen, we're all doing this for the first time."
"I'm sure he probably hoped maybe glimmers of Bruce would be there," she continued. "But if your soul really wanted to be a female this whole time, I can't expect that. So now that we know that he's, Caitlyn, is not Bruce. They're two separate people and kind of mourn the loss of Bruce now I'm fine with everything."
Khloe and her siblings still refer to Caitlyn as 'Dad' -- and, despite a year filled with ups and downs, the blonde beauty says the whole family will spend the holidays together.
"She's still part of our family it's still our Dad, which I know is confusing to some peoplem but that's how we know her," she explained. "And she's not gonna be with us on Thanksgiving because she's working, but she'll be with us for Christmas, for sure."
The reality TV star is also apologizing about comments she made elsewhere in the interview while talking about Lamar Odom and boyfriend James Harden. In another clip, she jokes that she's a polygamist because she's dating Harden while still married to someone else.
After being called out by The Shade Room on Instagram, Kardashian commented on their post.
"It was a tasteless joke and I'm disappointed I said that," she wrote. "I was nervous. Still disappointed in myself. Definitely not respectful."
