Leonardo DiCaprio isn't trying to predict the future.
"The Revenant" star covers the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine (via E!), where he opens up about the idea of having children and reveals why he'd like to win an Oscar.
While Leo's said before that marriage will "happen when it happens" for him, it sounds like he's taking a similar stance on the idea of starting a family one day.
"Do you mean do I want to bring children into a world like this?" the well-known environmental activist muses. "If it happens, it happens. I'd prefer not to get into specifics about it, just because then it becomes something that is misquoted. But, yeah."
"I don't know," he continues. "To articulate how I feel about it is just gonna be misunderstood."
It also sounds like the 41-year-old believes his new Golden Globe-winning movie has a misconception -- with some critics alleging that the film is far too violent for the average female viewer to enjoy.
"I think it's silly, and I think that the women I've spoken to really enjoyed the movie," he explains.
Though Leo did take home the Golden Globe for Best Actor In A Motion Picture Drama, we'll have to wait and see if the movie gets the same recognition from the Academy.
This will be Leo's sixth Oscar nomination if he gets the vote, and he has yet to win the award.
"Sure, everyone likes to be recognized, but that's out of my hands—other people control those things," he explains. "I will say it would help the film, bring it to more people."
