Tori Spelling Gives Dean McDermott Update: "We're Kind of Turning Monogomy on Its Head"

The actress stopped by the "Today" show on Thursday, where she opened up about her marriage with Dean McDermott.

While their marriage is far from perfect, Dean -- who had a brief affair back in 2013 with a woman named Emily Goodhand when he was on location in Canada -- and Tori have since been able to work past all of their issues.

"Life is good," the "True Tori" star told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. "We had to deconstruct our relationship. We really did, and I feel like we're kind of turning monogamy on its head, flipping it and being like, 'Well ... through some fighting we've been told what life should be, what marriage should be.'"

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum also confessed that she never thought she'd be in a situation like this, dealing with her husband's infidelity. "I wanted the fairy tale!" the 42-year-old explained. "And then when it wasn't, I was like, 'Well, what do I do? Divorce my husband? I have four kids.'"

While we watched Tori and Dean's marriage woes play out on her Lifetime show "True Tori," the actress says their relationship was definitely worth fighting for.

"I was like, 'You know what? I love this man. I'm going to make this work,'" she remembered. "We started at ground zero and built it back up. It's amazing. In May, it's going to be 10 years. Ten years! A decade."
