The Internet is having fun with Mary J. Blige this morning, after Apple Music just released a new promo for an interview she did with Hillary Clinton.
The two recorded a sit-down conversation which will be released in full on Friday ... but one of the sneak peeks is nothing but Blige singing at the Presidential hopeful for a full minute, as Clinton sits there awkwardly watching.
"If an officer stops you / Always be polite / And never, ever run away / Promise mama you'll keep your hands inside," Mary J. sings, covering Bruce Springsteen's "American Skin (41 Shots)," a song written about the 1999 police shooting of Amadou Diallo.
At the end of the performance, the R&B songstress grasps Hillary's hand ... and then tells her, "I just want to know where do we go from here."
Online, reaction has been pretty rough on Mary J this morning. Check out some of the tweets below:
Thankfully, the full one-on-one will include actual questions as well, as Apple Music released a second clip highlighting some of the conversation between Clinton and Blige.
