Country star Tim McGraw might've taken his grown daughter as his date to last night's American Music Awards, but wife Faith Hill was still very much on his mind.
McGraw showed up on the red carpet arm-in-arm with his knockout, hybrid-lookalike daughter, Maggie Elizabeth, and after a big win in the Favorite Country Song award category, he thanked his partner, Faith, for her support during their 20+ year union.
The "Humble and Kind" crooner said, "Thank you. First I wanna thank Lori McKenna for writing down this beautiful prayer to her children and allowing me to make a record out of it, Byron Gallimore, the best friend and co-producer a guy could have, Big Machine Records, Em.Co Management, my kids, who are an inspiration to me every day, my soul-soldier, my lover, my wife [Faith Hill] who stands beside me, and all you fans out there who love music."
"It's a privilege for us to be able to do this," he concluded, "it's a privilege for us to be a part of your lives, and a part of your memories. Thank you for that, and I appreciate it."
"Thank you," he repeated, as he smiled and walked offstage.
"Humble and Kind," indeed!
Glad to see these two still have the fires burning at home in such a time when the most seemingly-stable of Hollywood relationships crumble beneath the stressors of daily life!
