"Bachelor" host Chris Harrison promised a twist prior to last night's Season 21 finale which featured Nick Viall proposing to Vanessa Grimaldi. Well, the ABC franchise delivered by breaking from tradition and introducing new Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay to some of her male suitors on the "After the Final Rose" special.
What Harrison didn't warn us about was that one of the white contestants would completely embarrass himself in front of America and potentially vote himself off the proverbial island before the series even begins. (We know different reality show but whatever.)
“I'm ready to go black, and I'm never going to go back,” said Dean one of the guys vying for Rachel's heart.
The upcoming "Bachelorette" seemingly marks a season of firsts as Lindsay becomes the first black star of the long-running reality competition series.

Kudos to the 30 year old "Bachelorette" for handling Dean's remark with poise and grace.
