French Montana Fires Up Twitter With Wildly NSFW 'Crusty Dusty Rusty Ass Hoe' Tweet

French Montana fired off an NSFW tweet heard around the country Wednesday, and people still can't stop talking about it.

As of Thursday morning, the singer's name was the top trend across the United States on Twitter, with over 61,000 tweets weighing in on a single tweet aimed at a "musty crusty dusty rusty ass hoe" who badmouthed him on the social media platform.

"The fact that French Montana thinks anyone cares about him," a woman tweeted Wednesday evening.

And now thousands are debating Montana's response:

Cries of racism erupted over the "nappy ass poetic justice braids" line, and people have been busy debating the hip-hop artist's blackness. Montana, real name Karim Kharbouch, spent his childhood in Morocco before moving to the United States with his family at the age of 13. Hits songs he's been involved with include "Shot Caller," "Stay Schemin'" and "Pop That."

Montana has since defended attacks on his character and African roots.

"My son is black, and I was born in africa I lived there for 13 years. I ain't no punching bag, and I don't discriminate," he tweeted Thursday morning. "My mother is african queen and I was married to a beautiful black queen. All I did was defend myself if I affended anybody I apologize (sic)."

Others have been rushing to his defense, too.

Others just mocked the entire situation for a number of reasons.
