After mocking Donald Trump on "The Daily Show" night after night, Trevor Noah finally got to sit down with the president -- or at least Comedy Central's faux version of him.
During Tuesday night's episode, Noah dug into Trump's latest declaration surrounding the wall he plans to build across the Mexico border.
"I don't know why Trump and his people don't just lose the whole wall idea,” Noah said. "Just admit that the whole thing is ridiculous and move on. At the end of 100 days the president should be talking about his legislation not his stupid wall."

View StoryAs soon as Noah gave his hot take, Trump (aka comedian Anthony Atamanuik dressed as Donald Trump) came out to shut down the "fake news" that Noah was reporting.
"Don't try to be nice," faux Trump said. "I never watch your show, but I've seen all the episodes, and you've said some very not-nice things about me, not nice... That's why I'm here. I want to push back on the lies and the slander."
He went on to defend a few of his policies, and (sort of) explain how he'll get Mexico to pay for the wall.
"This is a show, Travis. This isn't just a show, this is fake news!"

View StoryNoah and "Trump" went on to talk about a tweet the President put out Saturday, saying Mexico will be paying for the border wall, in some form, eventually.
Noah asked what he meant in the tweet by "in some form" to which "Trump" explained, "Totally and completely easy, it's not complicated at all. This is easy stuff folks. Totally easy, we can tax them, they don't have to pay with money." The explanation thereafter was confusing to say the least.
Eventually, but at a later date so we can get started early, Mexico will be paying, in some form, for the badly needed border wall.

Noah concluded the interview with "Trump" to return to his news broadcast, but "Trump" didn't leave before chiming in after each of Noah's bits.
Atamanuik is set to star in Comedy Central's "The President Show" which will air weekly at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, immediately following "The Daily Show" starting Thursday, April 27.
Later in the show, Noah talked about Barack Obama's return to the public stage on Monday at the University of Chicago. The former president joined young leaders on stage for a discussion on community organizing and civic engagement.
Noah rolled tape from the forum in which Obama joked, "So, what's been going on while I've been gone?"
"Really, Obama? You're coming back with jokes now? I'll tell you what's been going on. We've been stuck with a Putin loving, perma-golfing, bronzer crusted con man and chief, and you're back with jokes?"
