John Heard's death hit Hollywood and just about anyone who's ever seen "Home Alone" hard on Saturday morning.
Actors and other celebrities who knew the television dad or just loved his work are taking to social media to send their condolences after TMZ reported the 72-year-old actor passed away in his Palo Alto, California hotel room while he was recovering from a minor back surgery.
Heard is best known for his roles at Peter McCallister in the 1990 film “Home Alone” and it's 1992 sequel “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”
