Trevor Noah may be the only TV personality calling who thinks Donald Trump's campaign-style rally in Arizona this week a success -- he just had to lower his standards.
"Last night's rally was packed. I mean, there was a line around the block like someone was releasing a racist sneaker," Noah said on "The Daily Show" Wednesday. "And when the show started, it started with a bang. Mike Pence's wife let him attend — and Ben Carson came out of hibernation to lukewarm up the crowd."
Though crowd size at Trump's rally may have been large, it was still an "outstanding rejection of reality," as Noah put it.
Hollywood Torches Trump's Arizona Speech: 'Unhinged,' 'Insane,' 'Pathetic'
View StoryAfter playing a clip of Trump saying he was willing to shut down the government to pay for a Mexico border wall, Noah screeched in confusion.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, what? What happened to Mexico paying for the wall? Mexico pays for the wall. You can't just change the words to your songs, Trump. Who pays for the wall? Mexico! What do you mean the government is going to shut down?"
POTUS also spent a significant amount of time at the rally yelling at the "fake news" media for misreading his initial reaction to the Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, earlier this month. The outrage was over Trump citing violence "on many sides," but he conveniently left those words out while repeating his statement to supporters.

And as Noah put it, that's like leaving the chocolate factory out of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
"Now Willy Wonka's just a pedophile," Noah joked.
