Trevor Noah ripped Donald Trump a new one Monday night for pardoning Joe Arpaio, the former sheriff accused of violating a state judge's order to cease racially profiling Latino drivers in the state of Arizona.
"You know for a guy who's not racist, Donald Trump sure has a lot of racist friends," Noah said in his "Daily Show" monologue, calling Arpaio "one of the worst sheriffs in America."
"Yes, the man Trump pardoned is regarded by many as one of the worst sheriffs in America. Worse than Sheriff Clarke, worse than Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, worse than the sheriff Bob Marley shot in his song and that guy was a dick," Noah joked. "That guy was a real dick. I mean, Bob Marley was super chill. If he killed you, you had it coming."
The Comedy Central late-night host made it clear that Trump was abusing his presidential powers to undermine the Judicial branch's authority, just like Arpaio abuses his power to hurt the inmates in his prisons and the taxpayers who have to pay the bills.
