For a guy who plays a curmudgeon on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Larry David showed a totally different side of himself on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night.
In honor of Kimmel's 50th birthday, a bunch of his friends got together to turn the tables on him and read a bunch of "Mean Tweets" about Kimmel, and David could not keep it together.
Jimmy Kimmel Asks If Hillary Clinton Should Be Impeached and Way Too Many People Say Yes
View StoryWhile Kimmel's production crew managed to get a tweet read by David onto the birthday segment that aired Monday, there were so many other tweets and takes they couldn't use because David just couldn't stop laughing. When they showed this footage to Kimmel, he decided he needed to share it with his audience.
"These people are so mean," David said at one point in the segment. "I know they're writing the same things about me."
He struggled through several different tweets, breaking up and laughing infectiously throughout as Kimmel was called everything an "egg plant emoji" to a guy who looks like he has to take a poop on TV.
"I didn't think Larry was capable of that kind of joy in his life," Kimmel said. And so, even though it was at his expense, Kimmel decided he could be happy for his friend in that moment.
