Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show turned into a full blown birthday party on Thursday's two-hour show.
The daytime talk show host, who turned 60 last Friday, celebrated the milestone with surprise appearances from her wife Portia De Rossi, "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara, singer Chance the Rapper, Jamie Foxx and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

Ellen Got Her Own Wildlife Foundation
"It's your 60th birthday and this gift had to be really special and it had to represent who you are and what you really care about," Ellen's wife said. "Not just now, but what you've always cared about. What you were influenced by and what has made you the amazing person that you are today. So, I combined that and questions when we first met like who's your idol? And what would you do if you weren't a talk show host?"
"So, I combined that with the fact that -- literally guys -- for like the last two years, Ellen has said to me, 'I feel like I'm not doing enough.' Every day, almost. So, I put all that together and I got you this gift. So let's see it -- happy birthday."
De Rossi then played a video of her narrating a story about Ellen's hero Dian Fossey.
"So for your birthday, Ellen, I am bringing you and your hero, Dian, together by building The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund," she said. "Ellen, you will carry on Dian's legacy by giving them a permanent home in Rwanda. Now, you will join Dian as a protector and champion of these amazing animals, the mountain gorillas. Happy birthday."
But De Rossi had one more surprise up her sleeve. She also set up a foundation called The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund so the busy entertainer can support any animal cause she wants.

The "Modern Family" star surprised the daytime talk show host while DeGeneres was listing other celebrities who look good for their age.
"You totally forgot about me, you don't even know how old I am," she said. "Maybe I'm your age?"
Vergara then ran backstage and surprised DeGeneres an additional time with a mobility scooter to poke fun at her new age.
"It's something that you're really, really going to enjoy... and that you're going to need," she said.

Although Chance the Rapper wasn't supposed to be in town, he still figured out a way to surprise Ellen on her birthday with a bouquet of roses.
"We all wanted to show love for somebody that's so special," he said. "I'm just happy to be here, happy to be able to celebrate. It's like a holiday, right? You're a truly special person."
"You're so sweet. You're a truly special person," Ellen said.
Apparently Ellen invited Chance to appear on the show, but his publicist turned down the request because he had to be in Chicago.

Ellen wasn't sure what was coming when she was instructed to read a teleprompter that had the lyrics to Destiny Child's "Bootylicious." Sure enough, it led to one of her favorite things: dancing.
Foxx came out of the audience to MC a quick dance party, complete with singing and champagne.
"Turn up, turn up, turn up, go, go, go, go, go Ellen," Foxx said. "Happy birthday. I'm here to just turn up. I'm here to drink."

While Ellen was playing a game of "Show Did/Show Didn't," in which she was challenged to recall previous interactions with celebrity guests as fact or fiction, the ABC late-night host surprised her by turning a "Show Didn't" into a "Show Did" on the spot.
"Jimmy Kimmel appeared on the show dressed as an Olympic figure skater," she read off a card. "That sounds like he would for sure do that."
And he did, emerging from backstage in full costume, even performing a mock skating routine for everyone's entertainment before joining Ellen for a quick chat.
