Reese Witherspoon Adorably Fangirls Over Adam Rippon on 'The Late Show'

The actress and the Olympic skater -- both huge fans of each other -- finally got to meet on Tuesday's "Late Show," thanks to Stephen Colbert.

"This is meant to be," Witherspoon said while gazing into Rippon's eyes. "This is the relationship the world has been waiting for."

The two giggled nervously as they told Colbert about the first time they realized they loved each other.

"Well, I think when I watched 'Legally Blonde,' that was it," Rippon said. "That's when I fell in love."

Witherspoon said she came to know and love Rippon via his hilarious Twitter feed, and even recited her favorite tweet.

"I think there was one that was like, 'To all my haters that say that I'm failing: I have failed. I have failed, I've gotten up, I've learned from my mistakes, and now I'm a glamazon bitch ready for the runway,'" Witherspoon said. "Not that I memorized it -- or committed it to memory -- or made it like my screensaver."

Colbert then challenged them both to a little face off. The task: Act like you fell on the ice and make a face to convince the audience you did it on purpose. The result is the most adorable thing you'll see all day -- guaranteed.

Witherspoon and Rippon's love affair began back when Reese proclaimed on Twitter that Adam was the only reason she watched the Winter Olympics. Adam promptly responded, and the rest is history.
