Amber Heard was slammed for an insensitive and ill-conceived tweet about immigrants.
The actress tweeted just after midnight Tuesday: "Just heard there's an ICE checkpoint in hollywood (sic) a few blocks from where I live."
"Everyone better give their housekeepers, nannies and landscapers a ride home tonight," she concluded.
One Twitter user criticized the message, which showed clear racial bias and promotion of stereotypes, "damn amber u think this sounds woke huh (sic)."
While another tweeted in reply, "Girl, I THINK you meant well, but this...this ain't it."

Some fans, however, tried to convince the star to take her tweet down before too much damage was done, "I can see where you were going but somewhere along the way you took a wrong turn. Delete this sis."
Minutes after her initial tweet was sent out into the ether, Heard wrote another message attempting to explain where she was coming from: "Checkpoints on your home streets.... Is this the 'great' America werre aiming for? Raids, fences and police-state like checkpoints don't feel like the 'land of the free' our immigrant ancestors built."

However, her initial tweet dominated the conversation on her Twitter feed.
Some critics even brought up her rocky former relationship with Johnny Depp while others criticized her for having the word "activist" in her Twitter bio.
