A musician looking for a lift to Australia’s Byron Bay got the ride of a lifetime.
When Chicago-native Scott Hildebrand arrived in Australia, he decided to give hitchhiking a try. Of course, he didn't expect the God of Thunder to pick him up.
The musician confirmed on Monday that Chris Hemsworth did in fact give him a ride after the "Avengers" star shared a social media post about the experience.

View StoryHildebrand told local radio station NOVA 919 that Hemsworth and pal Luke Zocchi picked him up within 15 minutes of him waiting on the roadside.
At first, Hildebrand did not recognize the two, and said he felt "kind of unsure about the whole situation" as the pair were filming the entire trip.
When the car pulled up to a nearby helipad, the musician realized these two weren't your average guys.
"They said, "We're gonna make a quick stop and switch vehicles,' and at that point I was like, 'Oh, I can help pitch for gas' and they're like, 'You're not gonna want to do that, it's gonna be like four grand for that,'" he said. "That was when I was like 'Who are you guys?'"
