Olivia Wilde also got in on the action, defending her "brilliant, badass feminist" friend.
Sarah Silverman hit right back at Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, after the former "TODAY" host called out the comedian for her NSFW language in a tweet about President Donald Trump.
It all began on Sunday, when POTUS took aim at Senator Amy Klobuchar, tweeting she announced her presidential "talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing."
Trump continues to question the legitimacy of climate change and often points to examples of cold weather as proof. In response to Trump's tweet, Silverman retweeted it on Monday, adding, "No point in explaining how mind blowingly stupid this tweet is so I'm just gonna go with F--K YOU."

Today, Kelly took note of Silverman's message and retweeted it herself. "This woman wants to star in children's movies produced by Disney," she then wrote, "And just did, in 'Ralph Breaks the Internet.'" Silverman voices Vanellope von Schweetz in the films.
"It's true! I am a blue explicit often political comedian and also love doing voices for children," Silverman wrote in response. "I know it's easier if people are one thing but no one is, not even you! We all have many sides and I think that's ok. Peace Ma."

Olivia Wilde also responded to Kelly's initial tweet, writing, "Say hwhat now? 'This woman' happens to be a brilliant, badass feminist with more curiosity and compassion than most of us combined." She added, "I can only hope my kids grow up to be like her."
Conservative commentator David Wohl also criticized Silverman for her message, saying, "Thankfully this shining star of the new American left has no children." Sarah responded to that too, writing, "Sadly I don't. I love children very much though. Someday if I do I hope they have a sense of justice and speak truth to power with earnestness and humor. But I'd be happy with anything. Even a teeny tiny baby you!"
