"Twilight" star Taylor Lautner has been dropped by his publicist, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
The ex-publicist, Robin Baum of Slate PR, represents some of Hollywood's top leading men, including Johnny Depp and Daniel Craig. Baum resigned after only working with the 19-year-old for three months.
It's not unusual for publicists to part ways with stars with image issues. "Jersey Shore's" Angelina Pivarnick was reportedly dropped by hers over her hard partying. Chris Brown was dropped by his after he broke a window after a "Good Morning America" interview. Nadya "Octomom" Suleman was called "greedy" and "nuts" by her former publicist.
But for someone like Lautner, who has a squeaky-clean public image, the split raises eyebrows. Reports are that Lautner's burly father Daniel is difficult to work with, and that sealed the deal.
Baum would not comment on the split, nor did Lautner's camp. Lautner isn't the first high-profile actor she's dropped. Baum reportedly parted ways with the tempestuous Russell Crowe in 2006.
We may never find out why Lautner was dropped, but here's a gratuitous gallery of the hunk on the red carpet.
Lautner can be seen next in the thriller "Abduction," and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn," of course.
