Lily Collins and Taylor Lautner have split, and their news couldn't have come at a worse time.
The break-up was first reported by Us Weekly. A source told Us that Lautner initiated the split and it was a "clean" break.
To make things more uncomfortable, Lautner and Collins are costars in their new film "Abduction," in theaters today. The breakup reportedly occurred one week before the film's premiere and after party on September 15. "At the 'Abduction' party, it was awkward," the source told Us. "They barely said a word to one another."
"Abduction" is 19-year-old Lautner's first leading role and critics have panned it. His next film is "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" in November, which will surely be a blockbuster, regardless of his performance.
Collins, 22, is the daughter of Phil Collins. Her next role is "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White," one of two adaptations of the classic fairy tale (Lautner's "Twilight" costar Kristen Stewart will portray the beauty in "Snow White and the Huntsman).
