Kanye West may put Justin Timberlake on blast last night, but the singer isn't adding fuel to the fire.
In case you missed it, the rapper made a crack at the "Mirrors" crooner during his Vanguard Award acceptance speech at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.
"The contradiction is that I do fight for artists but in that fight, somehow, was disrespectful to artists," Kanye told the crowd. "I didn't know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing, I sat at the GRAMMYs and saw Justin Timberlake and CeeLo Green lose. Gnarls Barkley and the FutureSex/LoveSound album, and bro, Justin, I'm not trying to put you on blast but I saw that man in tears, bro. And I was thinking he deserved to win Album Of the Year. And the small box that we are of entertainers of the evening, how could you explain that?"
Justin quickly took to Twitter to respond, writing, "Kanye is so cute, y'all." He later added, "Jokes, you guys... Jokes" with the hastag "chill."
However, three hours later, Timberlake went on to clarify his support for West. "Btw... I JUST watched my man 'Ye's FULL speech... He always has a point. And I support it. #truth," he tweeted.
The two have butted heads in the past.
Back in 2013, Kim Kardashian's hubby slammed Justin with a backhanded compliment for his pal, Jay-Z. "I got love for Hov, but I ain't f**kin' with that 'Suit & Tie,'" he said during a concert in London.
JT hit back while performing "Suit & Tie" on "SNL," changing the lyrics "S**t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit," to "My hit's so sick got rappers acting dramatic."
