Cardi B alludes to fiancé Offset's infidelity, and The Weeknd seemingly calls out both of his ex-girlfriends -- Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid.
Let's start with Ms. Bodak Yellow. Cardi's new single, "Be Careful," is the first release off her forthcoming album, "Invasion of Privacy." In the rather mellow track, Cardi sings, "Be careful with me. Do you know what you doing? Whose feelings that you hurting and bruising? You gon' gain the whole world, but is it worth the girl that you losing?"
Interesting given that her rapper fiancé Offset reportedly cheated on her as recently as last year.
"Call Out My Name," in particular, appears to be all about his relationship with Gomez, mentioning things like, "I helped you out of a broken place," "When times were rough, I made sure I held you close to me" and "I almost cut a piece of myself for your life." Gomez underwent a kidney transplant in the summer of 2017, which happened smack in the middle of her 10-month fling with The Weeknd.
"Guess I was just another pit stop 'til you made up your mind," The Weeknd also sings on the track, likely referencing SelGo's quick rekindling with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.
In "Wasted Times," the R&B singer says things like, "You were an equestrian, so ride it like a champion," which fans think is an obvious reference to Hadid since she used to ride competitively. "Wasted times I spent with someone else. She wasn't even half of you," might also be about Hadid, which fans are also interpreting as a shot at Gomez.
