Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have separated and plan to divorce.
A rep for the actor says, "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
According to TMZ, the split was "amicable."
The couple married in an intimate ceremony in British Columbia on September 27, 2008.
Though the two were rarely seen out in public, Ryan recently told GQ that Scarlett is "the best part" of his life.
