Justin Bieber just had a very emotional moment at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer hit the VMA for the first time in 5 years on Sunday night for a performance of "Where Are You Now" and "What Do You Mean?" -- one that ended with him hunched over crying.
After dancing his butt off and yes, even flying, the singer bent over, tried catching his breath and appeared to choke back tears.
"I just told them like, 'Listen, this a point in my life where I'm trying — not show people my true colors — but just have them try to understand the real me,'" he told Ryan Seacrest about his new music last week. "I can talk about it in interviews and stuff, but what better way than to do it through my music and do it through something I really love doing and that I'm passionate about doing?”
He also said he was excited and "nervous" to perform the new song.
The moment was very reminiscent of his ex Selena Gomez's performance of "The Heart Wants What It Wants" at the American Music Awards last November. After her raw rendition, tears welled up in her eyes as well.
