Adele should do more press tours!
While she loves to fly under the radar when she doesn't have any new music to promote, the singer's latest interviews have been packed with interesting soundbites, hilarious anecdotes and more reasons to love the powerhouse vocalist.
With "25" just days away, the 27-year-old Brit opened up with Sirius XM about the inspiration behind her new single, "While We Were Young," the best part of being a mom and her own insecurities.
"I do have body image problems for sure, but I don't let them rule my life, at all," she explains. "There's bigger issues going on in the world than how I might feel about myself. There's only one of you, so why would you want to look like everyone else, why would you want to have the same hairstyle as everyone else and have the same opinion as everyone else?"
One thing she isn't have any issues with is being a mother to three-year-old son Angelo.
When asked what her favorite aspect of being a parent was, Adkins replies, "I think everything else being about someone else and not about myself. I found it quite constant before I had him and now he really slows the world down for me. Just the out of body experience of loving somebody so much."
She also reveals she's a big fan of Jeff Buckley, Chvrches and Grimes -- adding that she doesn't really "connect" with uplifting music. It's a funny confession, especially considering the themes at work in her latest single.
"It was based on us being older and being at a party at this house and seeing everyone that you've ever fallen out with, everyone you've ever loved, everyone that you've never loved, where you can't find the time to be in each other's lives," she explains of the song. "You're all thrown together at this party when you're 50 and it doesn't matter and you have so much fun and you feel 15 again."
The track seems like it's a joy for her to perform -- see her sing it in the new music video below:
"25" drops Friday, November 20.
