Kate Winslet wants Leonardo DiCaprio to win an Oscar just as bad as the rest of us!
The actress revealed that she's rooting for her former "Titanic" costar to take home an Academy Award at London's Critics Circle Film Awards on Sunday -- and it sounds like she thinks 2016 will finally be the 41-year-old actor's year!
"I think you can sort of feel it, and I think that everyone wants it for him," Winslet told BBC News. "It would be amazing."
Leo nabbed a Best Actor nom for his role in "The Revenant." Kate, who took home the award for Best Actress in 2009, says she would be "surprised" if Leo didn't win -- but is in a tough position this year with her "Steve Jobs" costar also nominated in the same category.
"It's slightly difficult for me too, because Michael Fassbender has been nominated, and I was his right-hand woman for three months while we were making 'Steve Jobs' and I saw how hard he worked," Kate explained. "I think his performance is so extraordinary. But I think yeah, you can sort of feel the temperature. It's probably going to be Leo's year."
The "Inception" star has been nominated five times in the past, but has yet to take home one of the coveted golden statues. He already scored a Golden Globe for his role and will go up against Bryan Cranston, Matt Damon and Eddie Redmayne during the 88th Academy Awards in February.
