Channing Tatum won the "Lip Sync Battle" against wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum by bringing out Beyonce during his performance, but it seems the pair didn't have any rehearsal time together!
"I had never met her before," the actor tells Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday's show. "I won't even tell you what I had to do to essentially get her assistant's phone number. I didn't even have the intention of her coming. It was a whole ploy to get permission to do something cause I had gotten it through the grapevine that Jenna was gonna bring out Paula [Abdul], and I was like, 'Hmm, who can I bring out? I know Beyoncé's not gonna come.'"
"I wanted to bring like a cardboard cut out of Beyonce out just to be funny, and then ultimately, I ended up having to meet Beyonce doing Beyonce and that was definitely the most terrifying thing I've ever done," he adds.
Not only had Channing not met Beyonce in person, but she didn't even see his makeover until they were on stage!
"She's like Keyser Soze. I don't know if you guys know who that is. But you know she exists, and like but you never see her until all the sudden you're just like it happened, wait that was her, right?" he explains, referencing the mystery character in "The Usual Suspects." "You always know she's somewhere in the world that can reach out and touch you."

Later in the show, the "Hail, Caesar!" star talks about life with his 2-year-old daughter, Everly.
Tatum says he has a trouble maker on his hands. She's into "everything that we basically don't want her to do," he declares. "She just wants to stay in her PJs or naked all day."
"I don't blame her. I like that too," Ellen jokes.
