A few lucky celebs will be going home with a golden trophy during Monday night's 58th Grammy Awards, but that's not all the stars will snag during the festivities.
Year after year, the music industry's A-list walk away with goody bags filled with luxury items from one of the many exclusive Grammy gifting lounges. The lounges are usually open to presenters and performers during the three days of rehearsal at STAPLES Center. Adele, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, The Weekend and Lady Gaga are just a few of the famous names who will be treated to fabulous gifts.
This year, toofab went behind the scenes to visit the Grammmy Awards Official Talent Gift Lounge produced by Distinctive Assets, chatting with founder Lash Fary about the swag celebs will be lucky enough to snag this year!
A few of the standouts include Scuf Gaming controllers, beauty tools from Tools By Gina and a Fit Club TV "Ultimate Fitness Package".
"All the dudes, whether they're into gaming, or they're just going to go home and be the hero of the day with their kids, are loving the Scuf Gaming controllers," he gushed. "The ladies always love beauty stuff, so the fact that we have Tools by Gina here, and not just any hairdryer, but these are using a brand new technology called pure infrared technology that steams your hair rather then applying direct heat, so it doesn't get damaged and dried out."
"A lot of these people are fitness-oriented, they have to look good for a living, so we have from Live in Fitness a retreat for a week for them to go and get in shape, and also to enjoy clothing called Fit Culture Threads and work out supplements that's all part of Fit Club TV."
Another luxe gift comes courtesy of Phillip Ashley Chocolates, who are not only handing out boxes of designer chocolates, but also gifting guests attending the official Grammy celebration with one of the world's most expensive treats, a 23K gold salted caramel pecan praline!
"Everyone at the official Grammy after party is going to go home with a special sweet treat from Philip Ashley as the party favor," Fary explained. "He's doing the most exquisite and most expensive chocolates in the world, like $300 per box and above."
The gift guru revealed that there are a few stars in particular that haven't been able to resist his lounge in the past!
"A couple of years ago when Nicki Minaj was here, she actually pulled up in her pink Bentley right to the entrance of this lounge and she didn't have time to come in, but we came out to her and gifted her drive in movie style right to her window. She's supposed to be here again this year, so we're excited.
"Rihanna, in the past she's come through three different years when she's been here," he dished. "She sometimes is just stressed out after rehearsals, she's like 'I just need to shop,' and the great thing about our shopping experience is that they don't have to pay for anything when they leave."
With 10 years of experience, Fary has gifting boiled down to a science and says he asks himself three things when it comes to selecting gifts for any of his lounges.
"I usually say it needs to be fun, functional or just fabulous. It's not always about the price tag in fact I think a great gift is rarely about the price tag. I try to find items that maybe won't change their life but will make their life easier, will make their life better."
