We saw a lot of Dakota Johnson in "Fifty Shades of Grey" ... but not as much as you may think!
The film's cinematographer, Seamus McGarvey, previously admitted that he had to hire a butt double for the actress because she has a tattoo on her booty, something she's now confirming.
"I went through a phase where I loved tattoos, and I loved the feeling of getting tattooed," Johnson told Net-A-Porter's The Edit of her ink. "But now I've outgrown them mostly, and [because] I always have to cover them for jobs, God, they're annoying!"
"We did have a butt double for Dakota," McGarvey told The New York Times last year. "I had the pleasure of casting a non-tattooed bottom — Surreal Scenario No. 2."
When it came to his first "surreal scenario," that happened during post-production.
"We were protecting the actors," he explained. "Jamie [Dornan] had a cover over his penis. Dakota [Johnson] had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area, and right round her whole body. We were in the curious situation, in postproduction, of adding [pubic hair]. I wouldn't say it was one of the highlights of my career, but it certainly was one of the most surreal scenarios."
Talk about a strange situation!
