Don't expect Morgan Freeman to reprise his role as Lucius Fox in any Zack Snyder flicks.
The 78-year-old actor sat down with Entertainment Tonight and revealed he has his doubts about Snyder's upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," which stars Henry Cavill as Superman and, of course, Ben Affleck as Batman.
In a video posted online Tuesday afternoon, Freeman delivered some subtle shade, saying, “You know, I'm happy for Ben ... but I don't know how that's gonna work.”
His eyebrow was rising so far up, it nearly crossed over to the back of his head.
When asked to elaborate, Freeman explained that he felt how he felt “Because 'The Dark Knight' was almost 'it.'"
"Did you see 'Batman Begins'?" he continued. "I don't think you can beat that."
Christian Bale, who played Batman in those earlier films, responded to Freeman's remarks with a smile. "Right on for Morgan for saying no one will ever beat that. I very much like it."
Bale, 42, did soften his opinion slightly, saying of "Batman v. Superman," "I think the trailers are looking great. I'm very much looking forward to [the movie]."
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 25th! While we wait in anticipation, who do you think will be proven right: Bale or Freeman?
