Ben Higgins has met his match!
After a season of a emotional of highs and, of course, a some inevitable lows, "The Bachelor" came to an end Monday night.
Higgins, a 27-year-old account manager for a software company and arguably one of America's most beloved male suitors on the show to-date, was tasked with the tough decision of popping the question to either 25-year-old flight attendant Lauren Bushnell or 24-year-old real estate developer JoJo Fletcher.
First up, JoJo.
"I didn't know if I could find love," he told her. "I found it with you, but I found it with somebody else more. And I don't want to let go because I don't want to say goodbye."
That's right, he picked Lauren!
Though Higgins told both ladies "I love you" leading up to the finale, ultimately Lauren B. won Ben's heart in the end. "I would marry that woman tomorrow if I could," Ben said at "The Bachelor: The Women Tell All" special last Monday.
Needless to say, making the decision between the two women proved harder than expected. Even Ben's mother took issue with the fact that he had said those three little words to both of the ladies.
"To know that Ben could be in love with two women is really disturbing to me," his mother, Amy Higgins, said.
Nevertheless, we've seen Ben and Lauren's love story play out throughout the season. Not only did Bushnell make one of the strongest first impressions on the premiere, but many of the women worried that she was Higgins' favorite throughout the season.
During "After the Final Rose," it was revealed that JoJo will be the next "Bachelorette."
Host Chris Harrison also kept teasing the possibility of a live wedding between Ben and Lauren ... but no, it never happened. We're sure they want to hold out for a big wedding event, right?!
