Ryan Gosling's sweet acceptance speech was one of the highlights at the Golden Globe Awards, as he thanked Eva Mendes for all her hard work while he filmed "La La Land."
The actor picked up the Best Actor In a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, at first asking if the Hollywood Foreign Press Association made a mistake by giving him the trophy.
"This isn't the first time I've been mistaken for Ryan Reynolds, but it's getting out of hand," he joked. "Ryan, obviously, there's been some kind of mistake but I'm up here, so if you don't mind."
After also giving thanks to his costar Emma Stone and director Damien Chazelle, he honored his partner and the mother of his two children.
"While I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I've ever had, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer," he said. "If she hadn't have taken all that on so I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up there other than me today. Sweetheart, thank you. To my daughters Amada and Esmeralda, I love you."
He then dedicated his win to Eva's late brother, Juan Carlos.
