Hollywood is sending "thoughts and prayers" to Barcelona after a van plowed into a crowd of people Thursday, killing as many as 13 and injuring even more according to local police.
The incident took place near near Las Ramblas, a busy promenade in the center of the city, after a van traveling at 80 km per hour (50 mph) drove into a pedestrian walkway. Catalan police are treating the incident as a "terrorist attack."
Spanish police posted a video of the van at the scene on Twitter with the caption, "#Barcelona Así ha quedado la furgoneta que ha arrollado a varias personas en las Ramblas. Se busca al autor de los hechos," which translates to, "This is the van that drove into the crowd of people at Las Rambas. We are looking for the culprit."
