If this first clip from Season 2 of "This Is Us" is any indication, the show won't slow down on bringing the waterworks.
NBC shared a new sneak peek on Wednesday, highlighting a conversation between Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) about adoption. Apparently, Beth (Susan Kelechi) isn't 100% on board with adopting a child after her husband brought it up on the season finale.
After telling his mother that his wife is "struggling" with the idea, he asks how she and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) decided to add to their brood the same day they welcomed Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Kevin (Justin Hartley) into the world.
The footage also includes a flashback to the kids' shared day of birth, as Jack convinces Rebecca that they have room for one more.
"He was so determined you were meant to be ours," she tells her son. "Sometimes in marriage someone has to be the one to push to make the big moves and often times in our marriage, yes, it was your father. Our marriage wasn't perfect, it's true, but none are. And your father wasn't perfect either, but he was pretty damn close. As close as they come. He pushed a stranger on me and that stranger became my child and that child became my life. He became you."
