NBC viewers got quite the surprise this morning, after "TODAY" host Savannah Guthrie dropped the s-bomb on live television.
Following a promo for "Jesus Christ Superstar, the network cut to a shot of Guthrie at at her desk, clearly not knowing she was on camera. "Shit, sorry guys," she said to whoever was listening in her ear piece, never looking up.

View StoryThe audio then cut out completely and the shot stayed on her for about another 20 seconds, before going to another commercial.
When Guthrie came back on a few minutes later at the top of "TODAY," she made no mention of the audio gaffe, but took to Twitter to apologize to viewers.
Check, check - is this thing on?
@SavannahGuthrie
