Hilary Duff Calls Out 'A-hole' Neighbor on Instagram After Sleepless Night: 'Don't Be a Dick Dude!'

Beware the wrath of Hilary Duff!

The "Younger" star went to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to call out one of her neighbors in NYC, after being kept awake all night by his alleged behavior.

"Calling all New Yorkers with asshole neighbors, really open to any advice you have," she said in a video uploaded this morning. "My neighbor smokes cigarettes and weed all night long. My apartment reeks. Seriously, what do I do?"

"We know your parents pay your rent. We know you've never worked a day in your life ... must be nice," she continued. "Have some respect for your neighbors who work hard to live in that building. Don't be a dick dude and put your trash down the shoot."

She didn't stop there, however, even calling the guy out by his full name in her many posts.

"Slept 0 minutes last night because of Dieter the [eggplant emoji]," she wrote in another update. "Worked 15 hours yesterday and back at work again at 5:30 a.m. This is the real world Dieter the [eggplant emoji]. Your smoking ain't delicious."

She then posted a screen shot of his private Instagram page, captioning it, "Found youuu. I know your [sic] still sleeping. I really hope your hangover hurts."

"And another thing ... stop breaking all your furniture when you fight with your girlfriend or boyfriend," she continued. "It scares me and my kid. Therapy is cheaper." Her final post: text reading, "Dieter get a vape."

Speaking with Page Six on Wednesday, Dieter Addison said he doesn't smoke pot, but copped to chain-smoking cigarettes. "I live with a sober companion, I've been sober for months now. I smoke a ton of cigarettes, don't get me wrong, but this is a smoking building, which is why I signed the lease here," he said. "I am getting a lot of hate mail and threats from her fans, it is so bad I'm going to have to get a bodyguard. I am from a very private German family and we are hiring lawyers."

He also said he works at his family's real estate office, in addition to event planning and artist management.
