Leah Messer is opening up about her struggle with depression.
During Thursday's Life Reboot Podcast, which Leah co-hosts with Lindsey Rielly and Brian Scott, the former "Teen Mom 2" star revealed she contemplated committing suicide in the past.

View Story"I had this expectation of who I was supposed to be as a mom, as a wife, as a person and I just never reached them," Leah said, adding that she used " became suicidal" and didn't "love" herself.
The reality star explained she eventually discovered "this life is worth living" and said utilizing daily affirmations helped her recover.
"It's like I had to train my mind to know that I am loved, I am confident, I am worthy," she said. "It just did wonders."
Leah added that her kids even started using the practice. Leah and Simms share 8-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, while Leah is also mom to 5-year-old daughter Addie with Jeremy Calvert.
"Even for my girls, when they started school this year, they knew," Leah said. "Addie wrote on the chalkboard, she was like... 'I am happy because I have a family that loves me' and she even put like why and 'Blessed.'"
Leah concluded, "Today I would say that I am kind, I am loving, I am confident, I am courageous, I am strong."
