The comedian has a few choice words for the president and his wife.
Comedian Michelle Wolf just roasted President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, in just a few words.
On Tuesday night, POTUS took to Twitter to bash Wolf -- who hosted last year's White House Correspondents' Dinner -- after it was announced that an author instead of a comedian would be this year's keynote speaker.
Michelle Wolf Calls White House Correspondents' Association 'Cowards,' Dinner Won't Have Comedian This Year
View StoryAccording to Trump, Wolf "bombed so badly last year" that decision makers were left no choice but to ditch the tradition of having a comedian host the annual event.
"So-called comedian Michelle Wolf bombed so badly last year at the White House Correspondents' Dinner that this year, for the first time in decades, they will have an author instead of a comedian," he tweeted. "Good first step in comeback of a dying evening and tradition! Maybe I will go?"

Hours later, Wolf responded, simply writing, "I bet you'd be on my side if I had killed a journalist." She added the hashtag #BeBest, which is FLOTUS' public awareness campaign that -- ironically -- advocates against cyber-bullying.

Trump's attack on Wolf comes after the comedian slammed the White House Correspondents' Association as "cowards" for their decision.
The @whca are cowards. The media is complicit. And I couldn't be prouder. https://t.co/OOIFGuZ731

Trump did not attend last year's Correspondents' Dinner, but he relentlessly bashed Wolf for savagely roasting press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who he sent in his place.
During her performance, Wolf referred to Sanders as Aunt Lydia, the villain in "The Handmaid's Tale." She also joked that Sanders "burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye."

View StorySome critics, including Trump, took issue with the "smoky eye" comment because they felt it attacked Sanders' appearance.
Wolf is a stand-up comic and former writer for "The Daily Show" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
