The singer describes his wife Chrissy Teigen -- who constantly compares him to the PBS character -- as his "number one troll."
John Legend has long embraced the memes comparing him to the classic PBS children's character and show "Arthur," and now he's planning a tribute to honor one of the internet's strangest conclusions.
The EGOT winner's wife, Chrissy Teigen, is one of the loudest voices with the "Arthur" comparisons, teasing her husband at every opportunity, including showing a picture of their daughter holding an Arthur doll and saying she was spending time with "Daddy."

View Story"I didn't watch it growing up so I didn't know what the reference was," John told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show," after the host showed him one Instagram post that Chrissy captioned, "And I say hey, what a wonderful kind of day."
It turns out those words are lyrics from the children's show, which led John to say, "One day, I'm gonna cover the theme song."
We'll do you one better, Mr. EGOT. We demand a full "Arthur" musical stage production, with you in the title role! It's not a stretch at all to say that you were born for this role. Some might even argue you have the face for it.
Certainly, the internet is never going to forget the comparison, and especially with John's wife there to remind them. Chrissy has expertly trolled John countless times through social media, interviews and probably to anyone who runs into them at the supermarket.

In all honesty, there are far worse things to be compared to. Arthur is an iconic and beloved character from children's entertainment. He embodies kindness and decency and always strives to learn how to be better and to always do the right thing.
Those are great lessons that everyone could stand to be reminded of from time to time. Perhaps in the form of a Broadway musical, starring EGOT-winner John Legend!
