Markle left the show in 2018, right before her wedding to Harry.
Meghan Markle went from actress to Duchess in 2018 -- and the show she left behind just joked about her cushy new life with Prince Harry.
Though she hasn't appeared on the show since the Season 7 finale last year, Markle's "Suits" character, Rachel Zane, was referenced on Thursday's new Season 9 episode
How 'Suits' Said Farewell to Meghan Markle in Season 7 Finale Before Royal Wedding
View StoryRachel was last seen tying the knot with Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), in a ceremony that aired weeks before Markle said "I do" for real at her own royal wedding. The characters moved to Seattle to start a law firm together.
Last night, it was Mike who gave everyone an update on his onscreen wife, after he was asked how she was faring. "Good," he replied, "In fact, if I told you how good, you probably wouldn't believe me."
The official Twitter account for the show made a GIF out of the moment, tweeting it out and writing, "Turns out Rachel is doing REALLY well. 😉 #Suits"

Markle announced her retirement from acting in 2017, following her engagement to Harry.
"I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change," she told Sky News at the time. "It's a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I've been working on [Suits] for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series."
"I've ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I've done there, and now it's time to work with [Harry] as a team," she added. "I think what's been really exciting as we talk about the transition out of my career and into my role is ... the causes that are really important to me that I can focus even more energy on."
Following her final episode, many of her "Suits" costars attended the royal wedding.
