Kim Kardashian's faced criticism for most of her adult life, but when she started dating Kanye West, it was the rapper who received the backlash.
"I mean, everyone would tell him, 'You can't be with her! She's a reality star! She's gonna sink your career!'" Kim recalled in a sneak peek of her upcoming E! "True Hollywood Story" special. "And he was just like, 'But I love her. Like, I don't care.'"

"Any time I was around her or saw her, it was a magnetic attraction to this force of energy," he said in his confessional-style interview, which will also air on the special. "She was good, pure, happy, loving, brave, courageous, strong."

"I met Kanye in 2002," she explained. "He would ask everyone who I was, and they always said, 'Oh, she has a boyfriend.' We just always kept on connecting and coming into each other's lives, and then he invited me to Paris to his fashion show, and then that's when it happened. That's when we started our relationship."
"I was like, 'Shit! Why didn't this happen sooner?!'" she went on, adding that their dynamic was and is "just right."
Kim and Kanye welcomed their first child, daughter North, on June 15, 2013. They went on to have a son, Saint, on December 5, 2015, and two children via surrogate: daughter Chicago on January 15, 2018, and son Psalm on May 10 of this year.
