"I didn't have an issue with it towards her," Luke said. "It was the fact that she told me that was what she didn't want to do."
After receiving major backlash for sex-shaming Hannah Brown on "The Bachelorette," contestant Luke Parker is now telling his side of the story.
While appearing on Reality Steve's podcast Thursday, Luke denied "slut-shaming" or "judging" Hannah for her decision to have sex while filming. According to the reality star, he was just "confused" by Hannah's decision to sleep with any contestant as he claimed she told him she wanted to abstain from sex until marriage.
Kaitlyn Bristowe Claims Bachelor Creator Mike Fleiss 'Hates Women'
View StoryIf you recall during the televised argument, Luke, although not a virgin, told Hannah that he plans to be abstinent until he gets married and how he expected Hannah to follow suit. The former Miss USA went off on the import/export manager and eventually admitted she had already "f--ked" fellow suitor Peter Weber twice in a windmill. After the episode aired, the pair engaged in a heated Twitter war. (To read more about the drama, click here.)
"She told me she shared the same heart and convictions as me and she wanted to abstain from sex before marriage," Luke said on the podcast. "That's why I'm so confused and that's why you see the look on my face when she tells me about the windmill. I'm shocked."
"If I was judging or slut-shaming, I would not be trying to do that at all," he added.
Luke, who also claimed there was a lot of footage that didn't air, denied that he had any problem with Hannah having had slept with other contestants.
"I didn't have an issue with it towards her," he said. "It was the fact that she told me that was what she didn't want to do."
'Bachelor' Peter Weber Tells 'Ellen' What He'd Do If 'Bachelorette' Hannah Brown Shows Up on His Season
View StoryLuke said to Reality Steve he has "like 30 witnesses" who can prove Hannah told him during their hometown date she didn't plan on having sex in the fantasy suites.
"Quote on quote, she says, 'Please don't judge me during the fantasy suite week, because I do not intend or plan on using them, the overnights for sex. I plan on using them to further the relationship through conversation,'" he claimed.
As shown on screen, while Luke was having dinner with Hannah during their overnight date, he learned she had slept with Peter. Despite the heated argument that ensued, he said he still tried to "make things right with her" and to "fight for her."
Luke reiterated that his controversial reaction was because he was "caught off guard" and "shocked."
"On the fantasy suite date dinner night in Greece, she's telling me that she doesn't want to have sex before marriage," he said of the situation. "And then she drops all of this on me. And I'm sitting there and I'm like, well alright, if that's something you don't want to do and now you're telling me you've done it."
He added, "This is the path that now you're on when you told me you wanna be on this path, let's go on this path together, let's make it work, let's figure this thing out. And she's looking at me like, uh-uh, go home."
After the drama, Luke P. was in fact sent home.
The aforementioned Twitter war between the two, certainly seemed to point to Luke P. having a very different view of relationships than Hannah -- which at the time seemed to support the Bachelorette's version of events.
