The supermodel "scoured the gossip blogs" for dirt on her new beau.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's marriage looks like the stuff of dreams, but like every relationship, the beginning can be filled with doubt and insecurities.
During an interview for the December issue of Vanity Fair, the supermodel revealed she "scoured the gossip blogs" looking for any information on the musician she had just begun dating in 2007 because of rumors she had heard.
"He was kind of known at the time for either being in the closet or a modelizer," Chrissy explained. "I used to go on the websites and it was always either how I was his beard, or how he paid his past serious girlfriends, or how he was with some new model. Oh my god, I would read everything."

"It got serious pretty quickly," said John of their love affair. "She just entertained the hell out of me, texting me. What people respond to in her tweets today was the same energy in those texts. I didn't know that I wanted someone funny until I was actually with someone funny."
The pair first met after Chrissy was cast as a bikini model for John's 2007 music video of his single "Stereo." They began seeing each other whenever John was in town to perform. At the time, Chrissy was living in Miami for half the year, working for little pay as a model.

"I had no credit cards, I didn't have a bank account, and it just didn't occur to me to ask my dad for money," Chrissy confessed. 'I knew exactly how much it was with tax to get a McDouble and fries."
But her career took off in the same trajectory as their relationship and the couple ended up married in 2013. They celebrated their sixth anniversary last month with a romantic trip to Paris.
They've also welcomed daughter Luna Simone, 3, and son Miles Theodore, 17 months, into their lives.
And the pair -- known to voice their political opinions on social media -- revealed who they are leaning towards for the upcoming 2020 election during the wide-ranging interview.
"My favorite -- I'm going to say it, we'll break news today -- is Elizabeth Warren. She's the best candidate running today and she comes at it with joy and with sincerity and with a wealth of knowledge and experience," John exclaimed.
"I love Elizabeth Warren," agreed Chrissy. "I also love Kamala Harris."

In the hallway of their Beverly Hills mansion is a shadowbox of the famous Twitter fight between the couple and the current Commander-in-Chief. Trump -- upset John hadn't given him credit for prison reform during an MSNBC interview -- posted about John being a "boring" singer and Chrissy as his "filthy mouthed wife." Her response, "lol what a pussy ass bitch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president."
Mic dropped.
