One sure-to-be funny flick just got funnier -- Kristen Wiig is joining the cast of "Anchorman 2."
Director Adam McKay made the announcement via his Facebook page on Monday night, simply stating: "Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman 2. Couldn't be more excited."
The sequel to the 2004 smash "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" will also feature the hilarious returning cast of Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and Dave Koechner.
No word on what Wiig's character will entail, but we're pretty sure we could watch her read a phone book and still be thoroughly entertained.
The newest flick isn't scheduled to hit theaters until December, but if you're in need of a quick Ron Burgundy fix now, watch below to re-live the moment when Ferrell (as Ron) announced the sequel on "Conan."
