The reviews for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" are in -- and while it currently sits at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes with critics, we wanted to hear from the real Marvel fans.
The studio hosted a 29-hour movie marathon of all their MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films this week in theaters across the country, where die hard souls strapped themselves in for a full day of superhero flicks. Starting with "Iron Man" and ending with an early screening of "Age of Ultron," this dedicated group of moviegoers was in for a treat ... if they could stay awake.
We were outside the El Capitan in Los Angeles late Tuesday evening, as fans flooded Hollywood Blvd. after the screening let out.
There was an excited buzz among them all -- and it was clear this group loved what they just saw.
"I felt like my brain was melting a little bit," one fan told us ... and yes, he meant that as a positive. "It was everything I hoped it would be," added another.
The general consensus with the crowd was that Paul Bettany's new character, The Vision, is the big standout. We've seen the flick too, and we have to agree. From his costume and makeup to his overall screen presence, he's an exciting addition to the MCU.
And while we won't give away any big surprises, we can safely tell you that the Avengers lineup going into the film is very different than the one at the end. Prepare for some new faces!
Check out the video above to see what these Marvel mega-fans thought about the big shakeup and the film as a whole. Don't worry -- there aren't any spoilers!
And see the film for yourself when "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters May 1.
