Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are getting divorced after 17 years of marriage.
The couple released a jointed statement on Friday.
"With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”
Stiller and Taylor were married May 2000 in Hawaii during an oceanfront ceremony in Kauai. The couple first met while shooting a TV pilot that never saw the light of day called "Heat Vision and Jack." They went on to share the screen in projects such as "Zoolander," "Tropic Thunder" and "Dodgeball."
The coupled share daughter Ella Olivia and son Quinlin Dempsey.
