Kim Cattrall Says 'Sex and the City' Stars Have 'Never Been Friends' and 5 More Revelations

Not only did she call out her co-stars over the "SATC 3" fallout, she revealed the current state of their relationship and shared one incredibly awkward sex scene experience from the set of the original show.

Cattrall's latest interview comes after she was essentially blamed for sinking a proposed third movie, though she has claimed she told everyone involved "No" from the get-go. "I'm disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story," Sarah Jessica Parker previously said. "It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

"We've never been friends. We've been colleagues and in some ways it's a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal," she said (via Daily Mail).

"They all have children and I am ten years older and since specifically the series ended I have been spending most of my time outside of New York so I don't see them," Cattrall continued. "The common ground that we had was the series and the series is over."

She said she couldn't remember the last time they all saw each other, adding, "And that's another thing that's really disappointing is that nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, 'How you doing?'"

"To get any kind of negative press about something that I've been saying for almost a year of 'no' that I'm demanding or a diva, and this is really where I take to task the people from 'Sex and the City' and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker is that I think she could have been nicer," Cattrall said. "I really think she could have been nicer. I don't know what her issue is."

"I think the thing that still bothers me is this feeling of being in some way made to be the baddie," she added. "I never asked for any money, I never asked for any projects, to be thought of as some kind of diva is absolutely ridiculous."

"I was working with an actor and we were doing the scene and he is on top of me and then he collapsed and then he farted," she explained. "And I thought, 'Is this an acting choice he has made?'"

"I didn't really understand what was going on. And what had happened was he had been working out so much and so frantically, and had been on a diet, he had forgotten to eat and when he fell on me he passed out," she said. "It was pretty gross."

Cattrall called POTUS "decidedly orange" when he appeared on the show, adding that he wouldn't let anyone touch his hair.

When asked if he ever flirted with her during shooting, she said, "I think I'm too smart for him actually. He knows he wouldn't have a chance."

The actress said the show's schedule weighed on her decision against starting a family with the help of IVF.

"That was my early 40s and I had just started filming 'Sex and the City,' the chances of getting pregnant with these procedures was, everyone was talking about it," she said. "But I thought to myself, 'Wow, I have 19 hour days on this series, I have weekends where I finish at Saturday morning. My Monday morning would start at 4:45am and go to one or two in the morning.'"

"How could I possibly continue to do that, especially in my early 40s? And then I realized what a commitment it was just to the procedures," she continued.

"I thought I don't think this is going to happen. It was the first moment, it was extraordinary, in my life where I thought maybe I'm just not going to do this," Cattrall added.

Just because she doesn't want to appear in any future installments, Cattrall doesn't think they need to just kill off Samantha.

"I played it past the finish line and then some and I loved it and another actress should play it," she said (via BBC). "Maybe they could make it an African-American Samantha Jones or a Hispanic Samantha Jones, or bring in another character."

"I will be the one in the audience cheering them on," she added.
