"The Real Housewives of New York" star Jill Zarin was thrown an elaborate surprise party Wednesday night at chic New York City restaurant Chez Josephine for her 47th birthday--and TooFab's got all the exclusive details!
The soiree was thrown by Zarin's castmate Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, and was attended by fellow stars Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, Cindy Barshop, Alex McCord and her husband, Simon van Kempen. The menu included filet mignon.
Zarin's husband Bobby gave his wife an amazing gift: A Kwiat diamond necklace and earrings. Cost? $350,000! (And a combined diamond weight of 35 karats!). Barshop, meanwhile, gave Zarin an oil painting of Zarin and her dog Ginger.
Zarin arrived at the restaurant assuming she was having a simple dinner with her cousin Debbie, before seeing the play "Promises, Promises."
The birthday girl recently launched a line of linens at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and van Kempen made quite an entrance to the soiree, arriving in a caftan designed with fabric from the new line. The Countess, meanwhile, arrived in a headdress once owned by Josephine Baker.
Speaking of Old Hollywood, guests were serenaded with a Marilyn Monroe-style rendition of "Happy Birthday" by the Countess.
