There's no shortage of superhero movies this summer, with "Thor," "X-Men: First Class" and "Green Lantern" slated for release.
The latter has the biggest star of the three films: Ryan Reynolds.
Check out this new trailer from "Green Lantern" where Reynolds' character Hal Jordan finds the power ring and is inducted into the Green Lantern Corps -- an intergalactic peacekeeping force.
Jordan shows off the power ring's ability to create anything from the bearer's mind, including a sword, flamethrower, gatling gun and force field. Those aren't the film's only special effects, as the entire Green Lantern suit (which Reynolds fills out nicely) is CGI.
There's also a glimpse of a brunette Blake Lively as Jordan's love interest Carol Ferris, and Peter Sarsgaard as the villainous Hector Hammond.
