You knew this day would come ... Rihanna is making the move from music to feature films.
But unlike her fellow pop princesses Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus, RiRi isn't going the sappy, coming-of-age movie route. Instead, Rihanna is playing a non-nonsense naval crewman named Raikes in the upcoming "Battleship" movie.
Check out the action-packed trailer, where Rihanna and Taylor Kitsch battle aliens that emerge from the ocean. At one point Rihanna (who's stripped of all her make-up and red hair) mans a Gatling gun and prepares to take out some "Transformers"-esque baddies. We love her kick-butt badness!
"Battleship" comes out May 18, 2012.
