"American Idol" had one of the meanest cliffhangers ever last night -- ending on a shot of a poor 16-year-old girl falling off the stage!
The show had been teasing the moment all episode and finally, right at the very end, viewers watched as a visibly nervous Symone Black took one step too many after singing Otis Redding's "(Sittin' on the) Dock of the Bay."
After she went down right in front of the judges, who all appeared shocked, you can hear a producer yell "medic!" and another tell her that her "daddy's coming."
And with that, the episode was over -- with Ryan Seacrest teasing "Tomorrow night, find out what happens to Symone!"
We have a feeling she's going to be fine.
